Project details

Client: Water Corporation

Location: Seville Grove, WA

Duration: March 2026

Project Background

The Lakes Road Sewer Pump Station in Seville Grove was originally constructed in 1971.

McRobert Contracting Services completed Level 2 inspections of the pump station in 2016 and 2021, identifying significant deterioration of the structure.

The 2021 inspection identified severe corrosion throughout the concrete walls of the wet well, exposed steel reinforcement, heavily corroded inlet pipework and deteriorated access lids.

3D laser scanning revealed concrete deterioration of up to 82mm, exceeding the estimated concrete cover in some areas.

What did we do?

McRobert Contracting Services were contracted to undertake the structural rehabilitation of the sewer pump station, including the installation of a new PVC structural lining system.

Dimensions obtained from the Level 2 scan were used to accurately prefabricate plastic components to suit the existing pump station infrastructure.

The works also included the removal and replacement of the existing lid with new two-part PVC lids, upgrades to the inlet pipework using HDPE fittings, and the fabrication of specialised working platforms.
